I’m actually looking forward to a moment when she tells us something else. However, in her second side quest, we can learn from her that Jacob talked to Pitts, and Aberforth before his disappearance - and both those characters showed up in the story later, so I’ve got a feeling she can be rather trusted when it comes to our brother. I know that Rita Skeeter is a lying bitch, and we probably should treat her words carefully. What if “A Friend” didn’t contact us sooner because it was Jacob who was watching over MC earlier? When he got into captivity (whether it was literal and physical, or maybe he was put under the Imperius Curse), it was a sign for Rakepick to step in. But the most interesting thing she told us is that Jacob is “being held captive” and probably “the mysterious R is responsible”. ![]() Rita knows about R, she knows about our visions and that they don’t necessarily mean that our brother is alive. You see, we learn some interesting things from her then. And for that, we have to look at the first Rita Skeeter’s side quest - which interestingly triggers in the very next chapter. The second thing is related more to Jacob, or rather to his fate. Perhaps MC “cancelled” that by opening the first Vault at the end of year 2? I imagine that she had to stop them somehow (by trapping them? tricking them?). Now, we know that Rakepick saved MC and Jacob from the Cabal, but the question is how. First of all, I think the letter is about the Cabal and not R (yes, I insist that those are two different groups). Moreover, we actually know that Dumbledore was absent for most of the third year because he was searching for Rakepick. “I will assist you when I can”, eh?Īll right, but why would she wait so long to warn us about this danger? Well, there are two things I’d like to discuss here. I feel like it was particularly emphasized in Y5Ch16 (about the wand). Courage is probably something that Patricia values the most (it’d explain why she’s in Gryffindor, despite her obvious ambition). Now read it again and tell me it doesn’t sound like Rakepick - especially that “remain courageous” part. I hope the next time I deliver you a message, the circumstances are far less mysterious. I’m depending on you to reach the final vault before the others. Your investigation into the Cursed Vaults has drawn the attention of a group who is not to be trifled with. And this is what it said:ĭear … You are in grave danger. MC was informed then by Rowan that a mysterious letter simply appeared in their dormitory. The crests will fill up a meter, and upon hitting certain milestones, players will get rewards.A long time ago, back in year 3, there was Chapter 6 called “The Letter From No One”. Basically, players have to complete classes and earn full stars in those classes, which will translate the stars into crests. The method in which players complete the Hot Off the Presses! event should be familiar to anyone who has participated in a Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery limited-time event in the past. By successfully completing the event, players will unlock a new pink and green outfit styled like the clothes Rita Skeeter is usually wearing. The latest event in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is called "Hot Off the Presses!" and it's themed after Rita Skeeter, the shady journalist who has been a part of multiple storylines in the game in the past. Like some of the other recent events, this latest event is a bit shorter than usual, with players having about three days left to complete it at the time of this writing. ![]() As expected after the end of the recent mohawk cosmetic event, Jam City has started yet another in-game event for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery fans to complete. ![]()
